OVERVIEW

Montrose County Senior Citizens Transportation, doing business as All Points Transit (“All Points Transit,” “APT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit allpointstransit.com, contact us, donate, request or receive transportation, or use an APT service or connected booking tool. A third-party service may provide an additional privacy notice for its own platform.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:

  • Contact and identity information — such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and, when needed for a service, date of birth.
  • Transportation and rider information — such as pickup and drop-off locations, requested travel times, trip status and history, service eligibility, accessibility or mobility needs, companions, funding source, rider preferences, and service or operator notes.
  • Location information — such as pickup and destination locations and, where a transportation feature requires it, the location of a vehicle or device used to provide, coordinate, or monitor a ride.
  • Payment and donation information — such as transaction amount, billing details, receipt information, and limited payment details. Payment card information may be handled by APT and/or a secure payment processor. We do not intentionally retain card verification codes or PINs after authorization.
  • Communications — including information you provide in forms, emails, telephone calls, surveys, complaints, public comments, or other requests.
  • Website and device information — such as internet protocol (IP) address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, dates and times, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar-technology identifiers.

Please do not send payment card numbers or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email or website message fields.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We collect information:

  • directly from you, your caregiver, guardian, authorized representative, or organization;
  • automatically when you use our website or connected digital services; and
  • from transportation partners, service providers, government or funding partners, payment processors, analytics providers, and other parties involved in providing or supporting a requested service.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to questions, requests, feedback, and complaints;
  • determine service eligibility and create or maintain rider records;
  • schedule, coordinate, dispatch, provide, monitor, and improve transportation;
  • communicate about reservations, arrivals, changes, delays, cancellations, safety, and service updates;
  • process fares, payments, donations, and receipts;
  • provide accessibility accommodations and meet rider needs;
  • maintain security, prevent fraud or misuse, troubleshoot systems, and protect riders, employees, partners, and the public;
  • analyze website and service performance and improve programs;
  • administer grants, contracts, audits, reporting, records, and legal obligations; and
  • enforce our policies and protect our legal rights.

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to:

  • service providers and technology vendors that support our website, communications, analytics, payments, scheduling, reservations, dispatch, mapping, and transportation operations;
  • transportation operators and partners that help fulfill or coordinate a ride;
  • funding agencies, auditors, insurers, professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other government authorities when required or permitted by law;
  • emergency responders or other parties when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect health, safety, rights, or property; and
  • a successor or other party involved in a merger, reorganization, transfer, or similar organizational transaction.

These parties may use information only for the services they provide to us or as otherwise allowed by law. We do not sell or rent personal information for money, and we do not use rider information to build advertising profiles unrelated to APT services.

COOKIES AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS

Our website and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for site operation, security, preferences, translation, forms, and measurement. We may use analytics to understand traffic and improve content. Your browser may let you block or delete cookies; doing so can affect some site features. Where a consent tool is available, you can use it to manage non-essential cookies.

CONNECTED SERVICES AND THIRD-PARTY LINKS

APT may use connected services, including transportation-booking, dispatch, mapping, payment, donation, social media, translation, and analytics tools. For example, a transportation technology provider may process rider, trip, and location information on our behalf. The provider’s own privacy notice may also apply when you use its website, app, or account features.

Our website also links to sites and services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. APT is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of unaffiliated sites.

YOUR CHOICES AND PRIVACY REQUESTS

You may:

  • ask to review or correct personal information you provided to us;
  • ask us to delete information, subject to service, safety, funding, recordkeeping, legal, and other applicable requirements;
  • unsubscribe from optional promotional email by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us;
  • manage cookies through your browser or an available consent tool; and
  • change device-level location permissions for an app or browser, recognizing that location-dependent features may no longer work.

Privacy rights vary by location and may be subject to exceptions. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request. To make a request, contact us using the information below.

DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain safety and operational records, administer funding and contracts, resolve disputes, comply with law, and protect our rights. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it, de-identify it, or dispose of it securely.

DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Measures may include access controls, staff responsibilities, secure handling practices, vendor review, and safeguards for payment information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHILDREN

APT transportation may serve children when arranged or authorized by a parent, guardian, school, agency, or other authorized adult. Our general website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization or another lawful basis. If you believe a child submitted information improperly, please contact us.

ACCESSIBILITY

If you need this Privacy Policy in an alternate format or need help making a privacy request, call or email us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide accessible assistance.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through additional reasonable means.
